Merid, A graduate from St. Clair college industrial engineering, earned a bachelor's degree in industrial management from Lawrence Institute of technology in Southfield, Michigan in 1980. Five years later, he earned a masters degree in finance from the University of Windsor. Because he values education, Merid continues to study and learn about the financial planning industry. In fact he recently completed a wealth management specialist program at Kaplan University. He has also attended a series of courses focusing on retirement and financial planning.
Originally from Ethiopia, he now resides in West Bloomfield with his wife Cheryl-Ann and their three children. When not spending time with his clients or family he actively participates in his community. He was board member and treasure of Freedom House from 1996 to 2005 and currently serves as a board member and secretary of the Board of St. Mary Ethiopian Orthodox Church of Michigan. Currently, he is an active member of the African Caribbean Chamber of Commerce.
